FULLY GUIDED
This is a remote wilderness setting that will be physically and emotionally challenging. That is the point. Every step forward through the backcountry is also a step inward — guided by myth, medicine, and the steady presence of Steve and Nici. The camping is fully supported: all medicines, meals and snacks are included. You only need your sleeping bag, sleeping pad, clothing and personal items. A full packing list will be provided. No outdoor experience necessary — only a genuine desire to do the work.

THE JOURNEY
Four days in the highlands
Day 1 — The Call to Action
We gather at the Mew Lake trailhead and begin. The first hike is an accessible 8 km, arriving at Provoking Lake as the sun begins to lower. With every step, the city falls away and intentions begin to form. That evening around the fire, Steve shares the first part of the story of the Half Child.
Day 2 — The Burden
We all carry our unique burdens — and today, they will speak loudly. Day 2 is a long and demanding hike (14 km). As exhaustion takes over, memories, body sensations, and difficult feelings make themselves known. We support each other along the way. We make camp at Harness Lake, rest, eat well, and gather again for the fire. Steve continues the story.
Day 3 — The Unburdening
On this shorter hike (8 km) we move with the guidance of medicine. This is a chance to meet what has surfaced during the burden hike — this time without fear, judgment or hesitation. The unburdening ceremony is personal and takes many forms: cold water, breath, fire, earth, sound, movement, or speaking your truth. There is no right or wrong. We close the day with a sacred fire ceremony and the story of the Three Dreams.
Day 4 — The Return
Sunrise breathwork and a closing ceremony. A short hike out. And then — civilization. What comes next is up to you. You can bury the insights and slip back into distraction, or you can continue on the path of self-discovery. One week later, we gather again for a group integration call to share how the journey is still unfolding.
