The Wim Hof
Method
Breath. Cold. Community. A free weekly gathering on the shores of Lake Ontario — open to everyone, every Saturday, all year round.
Steve has been practicing on the shores of Lake Ontario since 2014. Back then he was the only one out there. Now it’s a community — and it’s always better when we’re together. The tools of breath and cold water are free and available to everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned practitioner, a total newbie, or just curious, you are welcome here.
WHAT'S INCLUDED

WHY IT WORKS
Six reasons cold and breath change everything
01
The breath activates you
The Wim Hof breathing technique powerfully shifts your state of being — rapidly altering your blood chemistry, activating the sympathetic nervous system, and bringing the mind into a focused, meditative state. Breathing together as a group amplifies the experience, creating a powerful shared rhythm that deepens presence and connection. What follows is heightened clarity, energy, and aliveness that’s hard to find anywhere else.
02
Cold is the great equalizer
The cold water doesn’t care who you are, what you do, or how your week went. It demands complete presence. In those first seconds of immersion, the mind goes quiet and something more essential takes over. That clarity tends to stick around long after you’ve dried off.
03
Your stress response gets trained
Regular cold exposure teaches your nervous system to meet stress without panic. You learn — in your body, not just your mind — that discomfort is survivable. That you can stay calm when everything in you wants to run. This carries into every area of life.
04
Inflammation drops, immunity rises
Research on the Wim Hof Method has shown measurable effects on inflammation markers and immune response. Practitioners report fewer sick days, faster recovery, and a general sense of physical resilience that builds over time.
05
You rediscover what you're capable of
Walking into freezing water on a cold Saturday morning, voluntarily, is a small act of courage that rewires your sense of self. Every time you do something your body resists, you expand the edges of what feels possible. The water is just the beginning.
06
Community makes it sustainable
Anyone can try the cold once. Showing up week after week, in rain, snow, and wind, surrounded by people who are doing the same — that’s what turns a practice into a way of life. We’ve been gathering at this spot since 2014. Come find out why.
