There are different parts of you. A part that holds it all together. A part that feels overwhelmed. A part that overthinks, shuts down, people-pleases, criticizes or pushes things away. And a quieter, younger part underneath it all that just wants to be seen, heard, and understood. Beyond all of them, there is something steady and grounded within you: your Self. When you begin to relate to your parts from this place, things start to shift. Not through force or effort, but through curiosity, compassion and connection. Internal Family Systems (IFS) is a way of gently getting to know these parts of you — not to fix them, but to understand them. Because every part of you, no matter how it shows up, is trying to help.

What happens in a session?

  • We begin with breath and body awareness, bringing attention inwards and inviting parts to come forward.
  • We check in on what is alive in the moment and what parts need attending.
  • No part of you is too much, unwanted, or unwelcome here.
  • We find a part and try to bring our self-energy to it, meeting it with curiosity, compassion, and openness.
  • If other parts come up with concerns, we attend to them too. If parts want to unburden their pain, we find a way for them to let go.
  • We end with a short meditation of gratitude towards our systems and the parts that had the courage to show up.
  • I summarise our session and give helpful tips for going deeper.

There is nothing wrong with you. There are no bad parts. Every part of you is trying to help and protect — even the ones that feel the hardest to understand.

Connect with your parts and begin to truly understand them. Recognise young parts, managers, and firefighters — and attend to the ones stuck in the past or caged in the shadows.

Stay grounded, even when parts take over

Learn to notice when a part is leading. Return to Self with more ease and awareness. Speak for your parts, rather than from them.

Experience more of your true Self

Feel more curious, connected, compassionate, courageous, creative, calm, and alive. Feeling whole ripples through all areas of your life.
